ANTENNA Connecting Communities: Project materials showcased at international events

This year, ANTENNA was showcased at four significant events across Europe and Asia to spread the word about its mission and objectives. Representing the project’s communication and dissemination team, Pensoft Publishers distributed various project materials, including the ANTENNA stickers and two-pager, illustrating the project's focus areas. 27th International Congress of Entomology (ICE2024)

From August 25-30, 2024, ANTENNA participated in the 27th International Congress of Entomology (ICE2024), held at the Kyoto International Conference Center, Japan. The congress, themed “New Discoveries through Consilience”, gathered approximately 4,000 entomological experts, researchers, and stakeholders from over 80 countries. Co-hosted by the Science Council of Japan, the event was attended by Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino, alongside government officials from Kyoto. ICE2024 provided a global platform for discussing advancements in entomology and pollinator health, aligning with ANTENNA’s core objectives.

53rd Annual Conference of the German Ecological Society (GfÖ24)  

From September 9-13, 2024, ANTENNA was present at the 53rd Annual Conference of the German Ecological Society (GfÖ24) in Freising, Bavaria. Focused on the urgent topics of global land-use change and biodiversity loss, GfÖ24 fostered discussions and knowledge exchange on sustainable land management and innovative ecological strategies, which resonate with ANTENNA’s mission

9th Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS Europe 2024)

Held from September 10-14, 2024, in Balatonvilágos, Hungary, the 9th Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS Europe) brought together over 40 young conservationists, students, and early career researchers from 13 countries. ANTENNA’s materials reached this dynamic audience, fostering ideas and collaboration with emerging experts in conservation biology.

Annual General Meeting of SHOWCASE

ANTENNA was also present at the Annual General Meeting of the SHOWCASE project, a platform focusing on the interplay between agriculture, biodiversity, and ecosystem services, with a special emphasis on pollinators. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with ANTENNA’s promotional materials and learn about the project’s impact.
