ANTENNA Travels: Project materials showcased at multiple pollinator project meetings
ANTENNA recently had the opportunity to present its project materials at the meetings of five EU research projects - VALOR and AGRI4POL. The events took place during February and March in Brussels (Safeguard final meeting), Lund (PollinERA AGM), Turin (WildPosh AGM), Wageningen (VALOR AGM) and Freiburg (AGRI4POL AGM).
All projects share a common goal of supporting pollinators, but each brings a unique approach:
- AGRI4POL focuses on transforming agriculture from a source of pressure on pollinators to a positive force for managing and restoring pollinator biodiversity, enhancing crop pollination services, and delivering co-benefits to ecosystems and people.
- PollinERA aims to understand pesticide-pollinator interactions to support EU Environmental Risk Assessment and policy.
- Safeguard aims to expand current assessments of the status & trends of European wild pollinators.
- VALOR unites interdisciplinary researchers, NGOs, and businesses to co-develop and demonstrate a systems-based approach to understanding, measuring, and responding to changes in the benefits that pollinators provide to society and the economy.
- WildPosh focuses on improving the evaluation of risk to pesticide exposure for wild pollinators and on enhancing the sustainable health of pollinators and pollination services in Europe.
By showcasing its materials at these events, ANTENNA contributed to the growing dialogue on pollinator conservation and reinforced its commitment to fostering collaboration in the field.
