On 25 and 26 November 2024, 18 representatives from ANTENNA’s partner organisations met in Seville, Spain, at the Doñana Biological Station - CSIC for the project’s first Annual General Meeting (AGM). The two-day event served as a platform for project members to share progress, discuss challenges, and plan the next steps for the project’s mission to advance pollinator monitoring technologies and to fill key monitoring gaps.
The beginning of the meeting was marked by welcoming words by the local organiser, Ignasi Bartomeus (Spanish National Research Council - CSIC), and the project coordinator, Oliver Schweiger (Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ). During the first day of the AGM, partners provided updates on work package (WP) 1: Co-design and advancing technology readiness levels, and WP2: Enhancing the added value of novel monitoring technologies with special focus on stakeholder needs, field tests and use of drones to assess habitat quality.
